How to Order

Island Teak manufactures pre cut teak components for boat cockpit grates and for cockpit seating. Our pre cut teak components are designed for boat owners who enjoy straightforward assembly projects that improve the value of their boats and are simply a pleasure to use and admire.

Our grates have changed from the image shown in regards to the outer boards. We now offer custom sizes and styles. Please send your ideal dimensions and we should be able to accomodate you.The shown grate style is still available. *Island Teak is available to assemble grates and prepare custom sized grates.

    Kit # 36   2 side frames, 4 cross ties, 8 battens.
    Kit # 24   2 side frames, 4 cross ties, 8 battens.

    3/4" x 3" x 24'' or 36"   with a 3/4" x 3/8" rabbet cut on one side.

Teak decking battens are ideal for cockpit bench seating.

To determine the number of pieces required, divide the width of your seating area by 2.06 inches and round off to the nearest whole number. You can adjust your spacing slightly to have the battens fit evenly into the area required.
