Reclaimed Cruise Ship Railings How to Order Island Teak has managed to obtain a volume of former teak cruise ship railings for use as balcony/deck/poolside railings, mantle pieces, even as an elbow rest on your favourite bar. They have been beautifully restored to their former glory while leaving traces of their history intact to attest to their graceful passing of time. Simply running your hand over these railings will provide you with a touch of the past. It is not hard to imagine these railing passing through the Suez Canal or around the Horn of Africa. Fine ladies and gentlemen resting their cool drinks on these very railings while enjoying a warm tropical night. These teak railings are approximately 6 inches wide and 2 inches thick. The lengths are variable from 6 feet all the way up to 14 feet. Previous fastening areas have been restored to original with a solid teak dowel. The railing surface is fine sanded and treated with a high quality marine sealant that provides superior weather protection and low maintenance.
